Big Island Brad ” Tiki Shark ” Parker files infringement lawsuit on Cafepress.com

HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) –

A Big Island artist says a website ripped off his work and now he has filed a lawsuit.

Brad Parker sells art at a Big Island gallery and online through his “Tiki Shark” website.

He says CafePress.com allowed one of his works, “Forbidden Island” to be plastered on numerous items it sells online. Parker says the issue came to light when body glove canceled a quarter million dollar order because the image it wanted exclusively was being readily sold at CafePress.com.

“I was shocked…I just felt nauseous…numb…I couldn’t believe this was happening. I felt like broke into my home and had gone through my art studio,” said Parker.

The copyright infringement lawsuit doesn’t include a dollar amount.  We contacted CafePress.com. It says the case has no merit.
